Hourly rates or a fixed price
With an hourly rate, the total depends on the hours worked; with a fixed price, the total is set before the clean.
- Fantastic Cleaners. Regular cleans are charged by the hour with a two-hour minimum. Its Sydney deep cleaning page says a two-bedroom home might take three to four hours. End of lease cleans have fixed from-prices that may be confirmed on arrival if the layout or condition differs.
- Simply Maid. The price comes from bedrooms, bathrooms, the home's condition, frequency and extras, and you see it before you book. A team may finish sooner; the price stays the same for the booked scope.
To compare, ask Fantastic how many hours your home is likely to need, multiply by the rate, and set that beside a fixed price for the same checklist.
Supplies, membership and cancellations
Three details change what you pay with Fantastic Cleaners.
- Supplies. Fantastic's regular-cleaning price tables say detergents and equipment aren't included, while other text on its Sydney page says cleaners bring their own supplies; its deep and end of lease cleans include them. Ask before booking. Simply Maid's prices include supplies and equipment.
- Fantastic Club. The lower member rates need the $89-a-year Club, which also gives service credits and priority slots. Simply Maid has no membership: weekly, fortnightly and every-four-weeks plans are discounted instead.
- Cancelling. Fantastic's terms charge $50 to cancel a regular clean or $25 to reschedule with under 48 hours' notice, and the full price for other services; another clause allows free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Simply Maid's changes are free with 24 hours' notice.

When Fantastic Cleaners may suit you better
Fantastic Cleaners can be the better fit when an hourly rate and a wide range of services matter most.
- You want weekly cleaning at a low hourly rate and are happy to supply products if needed.
- You'll use the Fantastic Club's member rates and credits across several services.
- You want end of lease cleaning with its stated 72-hour bond-back re-clean.
- You want BBQ, window, builders or mould cleaning from the same brand.
Simply Maid may suit you better if you'd rather see one fixed price online, have supplies included, and book in Adelaide, Canberra or the Gold Coast, where Fantastic's site doesn't list house cleaning.
Employment, franchise, contractor and introduction models allocate selection, payment, attendance and remedies differently. These are questions for the chosen service, not claims that any model always assigns a duty to a particular party. Establish who selects the cleaner, who receives payment, who manages absence and who can authorise a remedy. A business name or platform label alone does not answer those questions.

How we compare
We compare what each business publishes about how its service works, not how well any one clean was done.
- What we read. Each provider's own service, pricing, help and terms pages, on the date shown beside each fact. We didn't post jobs, ask for quotes, book cleans or contact sales teams.
- "Not stated in the sources we reviewed". We couldn't find it on the pages we read. It doesn't mean the business doesn't do it, so ask them.
- Platform terms and individual cleaners. On a marketplace or through an agency, much is set by the person you book. We describe the platform's or agency's published terms, not any one cleaner's.
- Prices. We compare like for like where we can: the same service, home size and frequency, with GST, minimum hours and fees noted. Simply Maid's prices are live from our booking calculator. Other figures are labelled as published rates, "from" prices or marketplace task prices, and we never work out an hourly rate from a fixed price.
- No scores or winners. We don't rate providers or pick a winner. Star ratings on different sites come from different customers, so we don't compare them.
- Which providers. The services that appear most often in Google results for house cleaning across the seven cities we serve, plus agencies that serve most of those cities.
- Corrections. If something here is wrong or out of date, email hello@simplymaid.com.au and we'll check it and correct the page. We re-read every source at least every three months.

Its terms say Fantastic Services Group acts as an introductory agent for local service providers, and your contract is with the provider. The group also sells Fantastic franchises.
