How much does a house deep clean cost?
Quick answer: A one-off deep clean with Simply Maid costs from $329 for a 1 bed, 1 bath home and $361 for a 2 bed, 1 bath, or $326 a visit on a plan of visits every 4 weeks. Customers paid a median of $427 per deep clean since our current booking platform began in April 2026 (83 cleans), including extras and first-visit charges. Prices are fixed by bedrooms and bathrooms, include GST, supplies and the Care & Cover fee, and are the same in every city we serve.
A deep clean spends more time in every room than a standard clean and includes the inside of the oven, fridge and cupboards. Here is what it costs by home size, how it compares, and what other companies publish.

How much more is a deep clean than a standard clean?
A deep clean of a 1 bed, 1 bath home costs $329 one-off, against $221 for a standard clean, and the difference holds at every home size because both rise by the same amount per room.
The difference buys more time per room and three tasks that are extras on a standard clean: inside the oven, inside the fridge and inside cupboards and drawers. If you only need one of those, a standard clean with that extra can cost less; if you need all three, or the home hasn't had a thorough clean for a while, the deep clean is usually the better value. Is a spring clean the same as a deep clean?
Yes. A spring clean is the seasonal name for a deep clean, so book a deep clean and it is priced the same way.
If the home needs walls washed, blinds wiped or interior windows done as well, add them as extras; the extras table lists each price.
Can I book deep cleans regularly?
Yes. A deep clean every four weeks is 10% less per visit than a one-off deep clean; weekly and fortnightly visits are offered as standard cleans instead.
Many customers start with a deep clean and continue with standard cleans, which cost less per visit. The table under the quick answer shows deep clean prices for each frequency.
Why can a first deep clean cost more?
Only if the home needs catching up: when it was last cleaned a few weeks ago the first visit costs $93 more, and $185 more if it has been a while.
What extras can I add to a deep clean?
Walls, blinds, interior windows, balconies, garages and laundry are priced as extras; the oven, fridge and cupboards are already included.

“—” means it is not listed as an extra for that service; check the service checklist, as some tasks are part of the clean itself. Listed prices include GST. Because the Care & Cover fee includes card processing, an extra adds a few cents more than its listed price to the total. Extras on a regular plan are charged on the first visit unless you add them again. On completed cleans since our current booking platform began in April 2026, 25% of standard cleans (115) and 37% of deep cleans (83) added at least one paid extra.

What do other companies charge for a deep clean?
Here is what other companies publish for a deep clean in our seven cities, beside our price for the same home today.
Deep clean prices are published less often than standard or end of lease prices, and many are 'from' prices. Several list the oven, cupboards or windows as extras, which our deep clean includes.
Compared with our price today for the same service and home size — deep cleans: 10 of 14 published prices are lower than ours for the same home. Most published prices leave out something ours includes, such as GST, supplies, an oven clean or a fee, so read the scope column before comparing totals.

How long does a deep clean take?
The table shows the cleaner time we book for a deep clean by home size; a team of two shares it, so they are on site for about half as long.

Time one cleaner would spend, recently cleaned condition, no extras. A team of two shares it, so they are on site for about half as long; the price does not change. On 148 recent cleans with check-in and check-out times from our cleaner app, time on site was a median 99% of the time booked (middle half 78–115%). A standard clean took a median 2h 52m of cleaner time across 81 of those visits.
Deep cleaning price questions
Is the oven included in a deep clean?
Yes. Inside the oven, inside the fridge and inside cupboards and drawers are included in every deep clean at no extra charge.
Do I need a deep clean before regular cleaning?
Not always. If the home was cleaned recently a standard clean is enough; if it has been a few weeks or longer, a deep clean or the first-visit condition option brings it up to a level regular visits can keep.
Is a deep clean the same as an end of lease clean?
No. An end of lease clean is for an empty home you are leaving or moving into and includes interior windows; a deep clean is for a lived-in home.
Do I need to supply products or equipment?
No. Your cleaner brings the supplies and equipment for the service you book.
Are prices different in each city?
No. A deep clean costs the same in all seven cities we serve.

One completed clean is one observation; cancelled, test, staff, $0 and fully refunded bookings are excluded. Medians are shown only at 30 or more cleans from 20 or more customers. Add-on history counts standard cleans only, because deep and end of lease packages have included some of these tasks as standard. Our customers are not a sample of the whole market.
