How much does Jim's Cleaning charge?
Jim's Cleaning advertises house cleaning from $149, based on a three-bedroom single-storey home, and the local franchisee's written quote sets your price.
The $149 offer covers a basic scope: vacuuming, mopping tiled floors, dusting, bathrooms and toilets, and kitchen surfaces. Jim's doesn't say on that page whether GST is included or how often the clean is, and a larger home, more bathrooms or extra tasks will change the quote.
With Simply Maid, a standard clean of a three-bedroom home is $285 one-off with one bathroom and $317 with two, live from our booking calculator, including GST and the Care & Cover fee. - What it costs. Prices are set by the local quote, so they can differ from area to area.
- What's available. Jim's says franchises operate in every state and territory, but services depend on a local franchisee, and not every service is offered everywhere.
- Other jobs. The same brand offers end of lease, oven, carpet, window, blind and pressure cleaning, which Simply Maid doesn't do in every case.
With Simply Maid, the price and checklist are the same in every city we serve, and an independent cleaner near you accepts the job. You can't choose a named cleaner when you book.
Jim's Work Guarantee and Simply Maid's re-clean
Both will come back to fix a problem; they handle disagreements and timing differently.
- Jim's Cleaning. Under Jim's Work Guarantee, unsatisfactory work is inspected and fixed. If you disagree, an independent expert you both accept reports at Jim's cost, and you don't pay until it's resolved. If the expert finds no problem, you pay the agreed price plus half the report's cost. The guarantee applies only up to a posted limit for work done by independent contractors, and no reporting window is stated. For bond cleans, Jim's says the job counts as done only when the agent or landlord is satisfied.
- Simply Maid. Report a missed task within 48 hours, with photos if asked, and eligible concerns within the booked checklist get a free re-clean of those areas within seven business days. If you're still unhappy, Simply Maid reviews it and offers a fair credit or refund. Simply Maid doesn't promise a bond outcome.

How we compare
We compare what each business publishes about how its service works, not how well any one clean was done.
- What we read. Each provider's own service, pricing, help and terms pages, on the date shown beside each fact. We didn't post jobs, ask for quotes, book cleans or contact sales teams.
- "Not stated in the sources we reviewed". We couldn't find it on the pages we read. It doesn't mean the business doesn't do it, so ask them.
- Platform terms and individual cleaners. On a marketplace or through an agency, much is set by the person you book. We describe the platform's or agency's published terms, not any one cleaner's.
- Prices. We compare like for like where we can: the same service, home size and frequency, with GST, minimum hours and fees noted. Simply Maid's prices are live from our booking calculator. Other figures are labelled as published rates, "from" prices or marketplace task prices, and we never work out an hourly rate from a fixed price.
- No scores or winners. We don't rate providers or pick a winner. Star ratings on different sites come from different customers, so we don't compare them.
- Which providers. The services that appear most often in Google results for house cleaning across the seven cities we serve, plus agencies that serve most of those cities.
- Corrections. If something here is wrong or out of date, email hello@simplymaid.com.au and we'll check it and correct the page. We re-read every source at least every three months.
