How hot-water extraction works
Washed, then drawn back out.
“Steam cleaning” is the everyday name for hot-water extraction. The machine sprays hot water and cleaning solution into the pile and immediately vacuums it back out, taking loosened soil with it. It is not a steam mop, and our cleaners do not use one on carpet.
Check the carpet first
The cleaner looks at the selected areas, reads any care label you have and tests a hidden spot before wet cleaning.
Pre-treat, then extract
Suitable areas, including marks you have pointed out, are pre-treated, then cleaned and extracted with the cleaner’s own equipment and products.
Check and explain aftercare
The cleaner checks the work and explains how to help the carpet dry in your home’s conditions.
Every carpet booking goes to a cleaner who has confirmed they own a working extraction machine suitable for full rooms, with carpet and stair tools. Deodoriser, sanitiser and stain-protection packages are not offered at this stage.
Each is priced and checked differently, so choose the right line in booking.
Fitted carpet is priced by room: bedrooms, living areas, hallways and stairs, each with a floor-area allowance.
Loose rugs are separate items, and only suitable synthetic rugs. Delicate natural-fibre rugs need a specialist.
Sofas, chairs and mattresses are priced per item on the same unit as a room. Leather and dry-clean-only fabrics are not included.

A larger home works the same way. Three bedrooms, a living room, a hallway and one flight of stairs come to 7 units: about 4 hours 40 minutes of cleaner time and $420 for the service before booking fees.
A few practical things to organise so your cleaner can get to the areas you’ve chosen.
Make room for the clean
Clear loose belongings and small items from the selected areas. Heavy furniture moving is outside the service.
Vacuum before a standalone visit
Vacuuming is already part of a booked deep or end of lease house clean. For a carpet-only booking, vacuum before we arrive.
Arrange access and utilities
Keep water and power available. Add parking, lift, stair and entry details to your booking.
Tell us about your carpets
Flag stains, pet accidents, delicate fibres, oversized rooms and access restrictions before the visit. Your cleaner checks suitability and advises on drying.
How to book a carpet steam clean
From your list to a little more life.
Choose the details online. Your booking brings them together, with the price in view before you confirm.
01
Tell us about home.
Your location, rooms, cleaning condition and the kind of help you need.
02
Make it your clean.
Choose extras and a requested arrival window. Review your clean, price and terms, then pay by card through the usual booking flow.
03
Keep the details close.
Use your booking confirmation and customer account to view the visit. Get help from the team if plans change.
If something on the list is missed
Your home matters. So do the details.
A clear way to put things right.
If something in the agreed cleaning scope needs attention, report it within 48 hours after the clean. The team will review the issue and arrange an eligible re-clean at no extra charge under our Care & Cover terms.
The reporting window is not a promise that a return visit will happen within 48 hours. The team will arrange the next steps with you.
Carpet cleaning is booked online in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra and the Gold Coast. Prices are the same in every city and suburb. What changes is who is free: only cleaners who own extraction equipment can take a carpet booking, so enter your address and date to see available arrival windows.
Same-day appointments are not guaranteed. For an apartment, add the floor, lift, parking and building access window to your booking.
What our booking records show
Our previous booking platform recorded carpet steam cleaning on 600 completed visits between 2016 and 2025, mostly in Sydney (490) and Melbourne (97).
Most people did not book carpets on their own. About 52% of those visits added carpet to a move-in or move-out clean, and 30% to a deep clean. That is why carpet can be added to either booking today, as well as booked by itself.
Completed visits matched to booking records. These figures describe what customers chose, not today’s prices or current equipped-cleaner coverage.
Yes. Choose carpet steam cleaning on its own, or add professionally cleaned carpets to a deep or end of lease booking. Availability depends on cleaners with the required equipment; enter your address to check coverage.
02Is carpet steam cleaning included in a house clean?
House cleaning includes vacuuming. Hot-water extraction is a separately priced service. Select the carpet areas you want steam cleaned in your booking.
03Can I add a sofa, mattress or rug?
You can add suitable fabric sofas, chairs, cushions, mattresses, ottomans, headboards and synthetic rugs. Sofa seat and back cushions are included; loose cushions are separate. Your cleaner checks material suitability before cleaning.
04Will every stain or odour come out?
Some stains, damage and odours are permanent, so removal cannot be guaranteed. Tell us about problem areas before the visit so the cleaner can assess them.
05How long will my carpets take to dry?
Drying depends on the carpet, ventilation and conditions on the day. Your cleaner will give drying and aftercare advice for your home.
06How long will the cleaner be at my home?
Allow about 40 minutes of cleaner time for each bedroom-sized room, with a 100-minute minimum. A living room counts as two rooms, a hallway as half and a flight of stairs as one and a half.
07Is it really steam?
No. “Steam cleaning” is the everyday name for hot-water extraction: hot water and cleaning solution go into the pile and are vacuumed straight back out. Our cleaners do not use steam mops on carpet.
08Is wool carpet suitable?
Many wool carpets can be wet cleaned, but the manufacturer’s care instructions decide. Share them if you have them; the cleaner checks the label and tests a hidden area before starting.
09Can I have carpets cleaned before moving furniture in?
Yes, and an empty room is easier to clean fully. Leave enough time for the carpet to dry before furniture, rugs or boxes go back down.
10Will a carpet clean guarantee my bond back?
No cleaning receipt can promise a bond outcome. Check your lease, condition report and any pet terms, book the carpet areas that are actually required and keep the booking record.
11Do you use deodoriser or carpet protector?
Not at this stage. The service is hot-water extraction with suitable pre-treatment. Deodoriser, sanitiser and stain-protection packages are not offered.
A general clean, a particular stain and an ongoing smell are different things to describe. Tell us what you want assessed, what has already been tried and whether you have the carpet manufacturer’s care instructions.
The Carpet Institute’s residential guidance directs method selection back to the manufacturer. A fibre name alone does not establish the right method for every carpet or rug. Your cleaner checks suitability before wet cleaning.
Routine extraction does not repair damage or replace mould remediation or water-damage restoration. Some marks and odours can remain. Describing the concern before booking helps keep the agreed work realistic.
Plan three separate parts of the visit
Access. Arrange entry, parking, water and power. Clear loose items and tell us which furniture will remain. Vacuum first for a standalone carpet visit; vacuuming is included in the relevant booked house clean.
The clean. The cleaner checks the selected carpet and carries out hot-water extraction on the agreed suitable, accessible areas. Discuss any changes to the room list before work begins.
Using the rooms again. Ask for drying and aftercare advice before the cleaner leaves. A finished appointment does not mean the carpet is ready for rugs, furniture or a move-in immediately afterwards.
For a rental handover, separate the requested cleaning from your tenancy obligations. Check your state authority and any valid tenancy conditions. A carpet-cleaning receipt is a record of work, not a guarantee of a bond outcome.
Use the carpet price guide to count your selected areas and understand the minimum. Enter your address in booking to check an equipped cleaner’s availability.
