NDIS cleaning rates
Two different numbers get called “the NDIS cleaning rate”: the price limit the NDIA sets, and the price a cleaner actually charges. They are not the same thing, and confusing them is how claims get rejected. Here is both, and ours in full.
The NDIA price limit
Cleaning is claimed under Assistance with Daily Life within Core Supports. The NDIA publishes a maximum hourly price for supports in that category, and it changes every 1 July along with weekday, evening, weekend and public holiday variations.
We deliberately do not reprint the figure here. A price limit copied onto a cleaning company’s website goes stale the next time it moves, and a stale number is worse than no number when a claim is being assessed. The current limits are published in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits on ndis.gov.au, which is the only version that counts.
A price limit is a ceiling, not a rate card. A provider charging below it is not offering a lesser service — it means the price was set by what the work costs rather than by what a plan could be billed.
What we charge
The same as every other customer. We have no separate NDIS price list and we do not price up because a plan is paying. Our price is set by the size of the home rather than by the hour, so the invoice matches the quote exactly instead of depending on how long the clean took — which is usually easier to reconcile against a plan.
House cleaning prices by home size
A standard clean in Australia runs $221 for a 1 bed / 1 bath home up to $413 for a 5 bed / 3 bath. These are real prices from our booking system, not estimates — GST and Care & Cover included.

Take the price for your home size from the table above — that is the amount that appears on the invoice. Divide it by the scheduled hours shown next to it if you need an hourly equivalent to compare against the price limit, and remember that our figure covers the whole job rather than a block of time.
A fortnightly booking is cheaper per visit than a one-off, so a plan stretches further on a standing schedule than on ad hoc cleans. That is the single biggest lever on how much cleaning a given amount of Core funding buys.

Common questions
What is the NDIS price limit for cleaning?
Price limits are set by the NDIA and change each 1 July, so the only figure worth trusting is the current one. Cleaning is claimed under Assistance with Daily Life within Core Supports. Check the live number in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits document on ndis.gov.au rather than any provider's copy of it, including ours — a stale price limit on a cleaning company's website is not a defence if a claim is rejected.
Do you charge the NDIS price limit?
No. We charge our normal price, which is set by the size of your home rather than by the hour, and it is the same price a private customer pays. A price limit is a ceiling on what can be claimed, not a rate we are entitled to bill up to.
Is NDIS cleaning charged per hour or per job?
Per job. You see the full amount before you book. That is usually easier to reconcile against a plan than an hourly rate, because the invoice matches the quote exactly rather than depending on how long someone took.
Does the price include GST?
Yes, every price we show includes GST. Some NDIS supports are GST-free; whether that applies to your plan depends on your circumstances and your plan manager will treat the invoice accordingly.
What happens if my plan runs out of funding?
The booking becomes an ordinary booking at the same price, and you can pause or cancel it like any other customer. We do not lock plans into contracts or minimum terms.
