The $150 minimum applies once to the whole booking, so one queen on its own is charged $150, while two mattresses, or a mattress with a sofa or carpeted rooms, usually clear it. Prices are the same in every city.

We read 7 Sydney mattress cleaning price lists, guides and marketplace listings on 12 October 2026. Operators that state a queen price ask $79 to $170; our $120 is inside that range. Stated single prices run $50 to $120, against our $60. Two things move the real total more than the headline: the minimum charge (ours is $150, once per booking, so one mattress on its own costs at least that) and whether the price covers one side or both. Our price is for one accessible sleeping surface and its edges.

What mattress cleaning includes

Hot water and cleaning solution go into the mattress fabric and are vacuumed straight back out with an upholstery tool. It is often called steam cleaning; it is not a steam mop, and it is a fabric clean, not an allergy or pest treatment.

Accidents, stains and smells
Tell us about urine, sweat marks, blood or spills when you book, and what has already been tried. The cleaner treats what is in the fabric, but some stains and odours, especially ones that have soaked into the core, are permanent, so removal cannot be guaranteed. Bed bugs need a licensed pest controller first.
The mattress service covers the booked accessible sleeping surface and edges. A fabric headboard can be selected separately. Bed turning, heavy furniture moving and bedding laundry are not included.

Tell us in booking about wet patches, accidents, sweat marks, blood or anything you have already tried on them.
Book a morning visit if you can, so the mattress has the day to dry before bedtime: drying time depends on the mattress, the room and the weather.
Clear a path to the bed and a spot near a power point. In an apartment, add the floor, lift and parking details so the machine can come up.
After
Open windows or run a fan, and keep the room aired until the surface is dry to the touch.
Keep children and pets off it until it is dry, then put a clean mattress protector on before the bedding.
Follow the drying advice your cleaner gives on the day; it depends on how much the mattress took in.
Ask about drying in the room’s conditions and arrange another sleeping option if needed. Cleaning is not an allergy, pest or guaranteed odour-removal treatment.

How we worked out these figures
Simply Maid prices come from the same pricing engine as booking: each mattress is a number of 40-minute units at the current unit rate, with one minimum per booking; the booking fee is added at checkout. Market prices were read on each provider’s own page on 12 October 2026 and recorded as published, including whether GST and the number of sides were stated. We left out limited-time offers, pages that contradicted themselves and prices we saw only in search snippets. Marketplace and guide figures are shown for context and kept out of the ranges. We re-check market prices at least every six months.
