How much does house cleaning cost in Australia?

Most cleaning companies answer this with “it depends” and a contact form. Below is the actual table our booking system prices from, by home size, including GST. It is the same number you will see when you book — not a guide, not a starting-from figure.

Real prices

A standard clean in Australia runs $221 for a 1 bed / 1 bath home up to $413 for a 5 bed / 3 bath. These are real prices from our booking system, not estimates — GST and Care & Cover included.

What actually moves the price

Home size. Bedrooms and bathrooms are the two biggest levers, and they move the price in fixed steps rather than a vague per-hour estimate. Each extra bedroom and each extra bathroom adds the same amount, which is why the table above steps evenly.

How long since the last clean. A home cleaned recently takes less time than one that has not been done in months. The booking form asks, and prices it honestly rather than sending a cleaner who has been booked for half the time the job needs.

Extras. Inside the oven, inside the fridge, interior windows, cabinets and laundry are priced individually so you only pay for what you pick. You can see every add-on price on our pricing page.

How often you book. A standing fortnightly booking is meaningfully cheaper per visit than a one-off, and weekly is cheaper again. The discount applies from the first clean, not after a qualifying period.

Common questions about cleaning costs

Is the price per hour or per job?

Per job. You see the full price before you book, based on the size of your home — not an hourly rate that moves while someone is in your house. If a clean takes longer than expected, that is on us, not your bill.

Does the price include GST?

Yes. Every price shown includes GST and our Care & Cover fee. There is no callout fee and no surcharge for a first visit.

Why is a regular clean cheaper than a one-off?

A home cleaned every fortnight never gets back to square one, so the visit takes less work than a one-off on a home that has not been cleaned in months. We pass that back as a standing discount rather than charging everyone the one-off rate.

What makes a clean cost more than the table shows?

Three things: extras like an oven, fridge or interior windows; a home that has not been cleaned in a while, which adds time; and choosing a deep clean or an end-of-lease clean instead of a standard clean. The booking form prices all of these before you commit.

Do I pay when I book?

No. We place a security hold on your card shortly before the clean and only charge after the work is done. It is not a charge — you pay after service.
