Use Request More Time when the home needs extra attention — the customer approves by SMS.
You'll see a Request More Time button in the bottom action bar while a job is active. Tap it to open the request sheet.
Two options to choose from:
⭐ Plus — +1 Hour (+$93) — for homes needing a bit more attention than the base booking allows
💎 Intensive — +2 Hours (+$185) — for neglected or heavily used homes that need deep attention
How approval works:
The customer gets an SMS asking them to approve
If they don't reply within 30 minutes, the request is auto-approved so you can keep working
You'll see the status update on your job screen as soon as the customer responds
When to use it:
The home is significantly more work than the booking covers (hoarding, heavy soiling, pet hair, post-renovation dust)
The customer has added rooms or areas on arrival that weren't in the booking
You've started the clean and realise the allocated time genuinely can't deliver a great result
Tips for a smooth request:
Send the request early — don't wait until you're already over time
Add a brief note to the customer by SMS explaining what you found
If you're unsure, call ops on 1300 009 363 before sending
This keeps your earnings fair and the customer happy with the end result — no awkward conversations about extra charges at the door.
