Washing up is easier with a simple routine. We're using a Robert Gordon Canvas plate, Koala Eco dish soap, and its bamboo dish brush. Scrape away loose food first, and start with a clean sink. Use comfortably warm water. This detergent's label allows a small amount directly on a wet brush. Work from lightly soiled items to greasy ones: glasses, then plates and cutlery, with cookware last. Keep sharp knives separate and visible. Support the plate with one hand. With the other, brush the surface and rim gently. Keep the bristles in contact as you work. Turn the plate carefully and wash the underside too. For stuck-on food, soak only if its care guide allows. Change water when it's dirty or greasy. Rinse both sides with fresh water until the soap is gone. Knives, timber and seasoned cast iron need their own prompt-drying routine. Rinse your brush, then leave it where it can drain and dry. Let the plate drain on a clean rack, with space for air to circulate. A clear sink, and more room for life. Simply Maid.
