Check for a colour or material change before continuing. Gently wipe the canvas with the damp, soft cloth. Work in small areas, without soaking the shoe. Clean the rubber gently, then wipe away residue with a fresh cloth dampened with clean water. Wash the laces separately in the soap solution, rinse them well, and leave them to air dry. Support the shape with paper towels and replace them when damp. Dry at room temperature, away from direct heat. No washer or tumble dryer. Once everything is completely dry, re-lace.
