First impressions decide whether a customer books you again. You don't need a uniform — you need to look clean, capable and friendly.
What to wear
Clean, plain, comfortable clothes you can move in. No slogans, nothing torn or stained.
Closed-toe shoes with grip. Bring indoor shoes or shoe covers if the customer prefers.
Hair tied back, short clean nails with clear or no polish.
No strong perfume — many customers are sensitive to it.
Hygiene
Wash your hands after eating, smoking, handling rubbish, using the bathroom, and between bathrooms and kitchens.
Don't smoke on or near the property.
Manners
Greet the customer by name, introduce yourself (and your team member), and smile.
Ask if there's anything they'd like you to focus on.
Keep phone calls to a minimum while you're working.
Never argue with a customer. If there's a disagreement, stay polite and call 1300 009 363 — we'll sort it out.
Looking the part isn't vanity. Cleaners who present well get higher ratings, more repeat customers, and more tips.
