01Is this employment or a business partnership?+
You apply as an independent contractor, or as part of a team or cleaning company. The provider agreement sets out the arrangement, responsibilities and payment terms. Read it during onboarding before you commit.
02Can I work on my own or bring my team?+
Yes. Apply as a solo cleaner, a team working together, or an established cleaning company. The application adapts to your setup. You can invite members during onboarding; each member needs to complete their own required checks.
03How much will I earn?+
Our starting base rate is $45 per hour (AUD). Your job payment is calculated using the cleaning time allocated to you and your agreed rate. For example, three allocated cleaning hours at the base rate pay $135, before your business costs and tax. Check each job’s payment details in the app. Available hours depend on customer demand, location and suitability; weekly hours and earnings aren’t guaranteed.
04When and how do I get paid?+
Payments go to your Australian bank account through the weekly pay run. You can view earnings and payout information in the provider app. Payment timing is subject to the pay cycle, job status and bank processing.
05Do I choose every job?+
Set your working hours and travel preferences, and keep time off up to date. Jobs can be assigned within that availability, so it needs to reflect when you can actually work. Check your calendar and job details. Available work depends on customer demand, location and suitability.
06Do I need equipment, transport and an ABN?+
You need your own vacuum, mop, cloths and cleaning products, plus a way to travel with your kit. We ask about vehicle access and your travel range. The application asks about your ABN; companies provide a company ABN. Invited team members follow a different setup. We’ll explain the requirements for your arrangement during onboarding.
07What support is available?+
Simply Maid handles customer booking and payment administration. The provider app brings together job details, availability, earnings and help. You’ll work through the standards, safety guidance and reporting process during onboarding. Insurance and incident handling are explained there, including the terms that apply.
08Can I finish my application later?+
Once you verify your account, completed onboarding steps are saved as you continue. Sign in with the same account to return. Finish and continue from your current step before leaving; unsaved edits on that step may be lost. Inactive applications can close, in which case you’ll be guided to start again.
